It is absolutely my favorite thing to celebrate with families over the years. So when a friend of over a decade called and said she wanted to celebrate her 10 year wedding anniversary with family portraits, I was more than excited!
Evidence that Nicole and I go way back:
I knew her when she was in high school. My mom served as her assistant principal. Go Rams!
Six years later, she was my 11th grade U.S. history teacher.
And then because God works in really cool ways, we now call each other friends!
It was a blast to run around and chase her two boys in the park - I definitely broke a sweat! Both of them are created so uniquely and it was sweet to see how they interacted with one another. Joe talked all about the last ten years of marriage with Nicole and to see his smile light up when he talked about her was encouraging to my heart. He said “time has flown by” and I can’t even imagine. I was encouraged to watch my friend be a sweet wife and momma to her family and may have had a flashback to sitting in her classroom growing up. I wonder if I ever imagined I’d be great friends with one of my teachers when I was in high school?
I’m so thankful for this family and how I’ve gotten to watch them grow over the years. My prayer is that these photos will be a reminder of God’s goodness that will bless them for many years and even generations to come!
